University of Tampa Area Apartments for Rent
Along the Hillsborough River across from downtown Tampa, the University of Tampa has a beautiful campus. Not only is it riverfront, but it also includes a park-like setting with palm trees, large oak trees, and colorful roses and azaleas. The architecture is also beautiful, consisting of Moorish Revival buildings. Plant Hall, the old Tampa Bay Hotel, is a National Historic Landmark. The impressive, curvy structure was built in 1891 by Henry B. Plant, and a museum in his name is located within the building.
UT is a private university that offers 150 undergraduate degrees and 11 master’s degree programs. The Sykes College of Business was named an outstanding business school by the Princeton Review in 2013 – an honor it has received for seven years in a row.
In addition to impressive academics, UT stands out in sports, as well. The UT Spartans compete in NCAA Division II as part of the Sunshine State Conference. The soccer, baseball, and volleyball teams have all won titles in the past.
Finding an apartment in the University of Tampa area is easy – downtown Tampa is just minutes away, providing plenty of options. Other areas and neighborhoods to consider include West Riverfront, Hyde Park, Courier City, and Old West Tampa.
