Woodglen is a tiny neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is made up of only a few small roads in the 27609 zip code to the north of Quail Ridge Road. Inside the neighborhood is a moderate-sized apartment community that is home to a number of residents from a variety of different backgrounds. The apartment complex has plenty of parking and lots of shade with many large trees surrounding the buildings.

The largest road near Woodglen is Falls of Neuse Road to the west. Along this road are a number of large churches representing many different Christian denominations. It is also home to St Raphael Catholic School and Friendship Christian School, which are both well known private schools in the region. The vast number of religious offerings show just how important religion is to the community.

Raleigh is known for recreation and the area surrounding Woodglen is no different. Sitting virtually in the backyard of the complex is the Raleigh Racquet Club. This club is a great place to meet other active residents, as well as enjoy a game of tennis with players of similar skill levels. The club has numerous courts with different surfaces. While many come for general play, the club also offers lessons for different age groups, league options, and even tournaments for those looking to really test their skills.

Woodglen is relatively quiet with little major commercial development in the immediate area. There are, however, nice little pockets of commercialization that provide great little shopping centers and restaurants that meet the day to day needs of residents here. There is also a modest sized movie theater off Atlantic Springs Road that shows new releases on one of their 15 screens. The theater is located less than a mile away from Woodglen, making it a great little community theater.
