Waco Heights Apartments for Rent

Waco Heights is a neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood can be found along Honeysuckle Road off of Old Wake Forest Road. This older community is made up of multiple-family dwellings with dirt driveways and brick exteriors. Light forest surrounds much of the area and provides a nice bit of shade and scenery. Outside of the neighborhood is mostly commercial development with little residential occupancy.

Just outside the Waco Heights neighborhood is a number of mostly local shops, as well as a variety of restaurants. Options here cover a wide assortment of goods, services, and flavors, with day to day options as well as more specialized ones. There are also many major national brands such as Office Depot, TGI Friday’s, Red Lobster, Hooters, and Walgreen’s Pharmacy, to list only a few.

There are a number of large churches nearby, including Millbrook Baptist Church and Millbrook United Methodist Church. There is also a religious supply store off of Market Drive within walking distance of Waco Heights. Other community features include a number of schools such as Torchlight Academy, Brentwood Elementary School, and Millbrook School.

One of cultural offerings within the immediate area is the Carolina Ballet off of Atlantic Avenue. The ballet, which is produced by Robert Weiss, is a popular part of the community, presenting a number of performances throughout the year that are well attended by the public. One of the most notable of their performances is their annual rendition of the Nutcracker.

Near the Interstate is Duke Raleigh Hospital. This important medical center provides much of the major medical care for the area and is located perfectly for emergency care. It is also a major employer in the area, providing many professional-level jobs.
