Many people come here to be at peace with nature, take pictures, or simply watch the wildlife. Others come to enjoy one of the best trails in the region, Greenway Trail. This trail is a favorite for walkers, runners, and cyclists, as it provides several miles of scenic exercise. The trail goes throughout the park and surrounding neighborhoods.

Shopping and dining here consists of mostly small, locally owned operations; however, the Crabtree Valley Mall is only a few miles away, providing considerably more variety.
