Farther to the northwest, also off of Glenwood Avenue, is AMF Pleasant Valley Lanes. This popular bowling alley is used throughout the year by area leagues with competitors of many different ages, as well as for tournaments. It is also a popular hangout spot for teenagers and is frequently used for birthday parties.

Area golfers make the trip to the southeast off of Glenwood Avenue to reach the Carolina Country Club. The large country club is well known throughout the area for having fine golf and tennis programs. The golf course at the Carolina Country Club is one of the largest in the area and easily one of the best maintained, providing a quality experience for golfers of all skill levels.
