The Haywood Apartments for Rent

The Haywood is a rather small community. It lies just northeast of Raleigh, in Leesville. Tanglewood Drive serves as its northern border, while Pinecrest Road serves as its western border. It is bordered to the south and east by smaller, local roads.

The massive Leesville Community Park and Library is to the northeast of The Haywood community. It includes two playgrounds; one for toddlers and one for schoolchildren between the ages of five to twelve. It also has open parkland and trails.

Other nearby parks include the William B. Umstead State Park, which is known for its scenic, plentiful picnic areas. Lake Lynn Park and Lake Lynn only a mile and a half east of The Haywood. Dunnaway Pond is a reservoir located to the northwest of the neighborhood, and it is also a popular recreational destination for residents.

In addition to having lots of local recreational activities, The Haywood is located in proximity to Interstate 40, making all of Raleigh within easy reach by car or public transportation. Also, the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, connecting residents with anywhere they want to go in the world, is only a little over three miles west of the community.

The Haywood is a family-friendly neighborhood as well. The Leesville Road Elementary School, known for its excellent staff of teachers, is only a half-mile northeast of The Haywood. Also within walking distance are Leesville Road High School and Leesville Road Middle School. The Primrose School of Hilburn and Hilburn Drive Elementary School, both noted for scholastic achievement, are only about a half-mile from the neighborhood.
