Temple Street Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Stunning views of towering trees and open glens snake between the residences of the Temple Street district, leaving traces of light. This small neighborhood on the cul-de-sac end of Temple Drive is densely wooded. Amazingly tall pines tower upward, while massive oaks unfold and drape the area in the green of lush foliage.
Sizable, well-built, two-story traditional houses are spaced a semi-private distance apart. While several have front columns or wraparound porches, others have elaborate back decks. Lawns are managed with average care, displaying some flowers around mailboxes and a few casual bushes. Some homes are separated by boxed hedges.
The Temple Street neighborhood is situated in the Millbrook area of Raleigh. An excellent feature of this community is Shelley Lake Sertoma Park. The park is a children’s amusement park with a train and a carousel, an adult walking trail, and a family activity park. At regular intervals throughout the month, night concerts are held for local residents. The park also has a huge lake, kiddie boats, and ducks for feeding.
For those interested in genealogy and ancestry, the Raleigh Family History Center is just a short walk away. This center is a free library run by volunteers of the Latter Day Saints.
There are many sites in the area that are appealing, like the NC State Capitol built in 1913. The North Carolina State University Bell Tower is close as well. This native monument is a memorial to NCSU alumni who fought in World War I.
Public education and private learning opportunities abound around this district. Several elementary and high schools are in the immediate vicinity, as well as many preschools and private educational centers.
Located outside the Interstate 440 Raleigh Beltline, but inside the Interstate 540 Outer Loop, the Temple Street community is advantageous. This neighborhood is desirable for location, privacy, and local amenities.
