The Swift Ridge community is relatively new, as most of the dwellings in the neighborhood were constructed between 1990 and 1998. It does have some residences that are older, having been constructed as early as 1980, as well. Children living in the neighborhood attend any number of local schools, including Adventist Christian Academy, Athens Drive High School, Centennial Campus Middle School, Combs Elementary School, and Dillard Drive Elementary School.
