The neighborhood of Sloans Garden Lane is located to the north of Raleigh and to the southeast of Durham. Currently, it exists in name only. It is a very small area – just 0.001 square mile – and as of yet, has no listed population. There is some construction in the area, however.

Public schools in the area belong to the Wake County Public School System. There are also several Christian and Catholic schools nearby, including Friendship Christian School and St. Raphael Catholic School.

There are some very highly rated restaurants in the vicinity of Sloans Garden Lane. Among them are Bahama Breeze, Vivace, and Michael Dean’s Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar. Among the choices are the African American Cultural Center, North Carolina Museum of Art, North Carolina Museum of History, and North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. The Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, which is the home of the Carolina Ballet and North Carolina Symphony, features live theater and concerts.

Campers can take advantage of the William B. Umstead State Park, Bill Plemmons RV World, or Falls Lake State Recreational Area. Raleigh also ranks highly as a great place for singles because of its nightlife. Places to go include Aurora, Club Fourteen, Liquid, and Buffalo Brothers.
