Ilda Ray Harrison is a small neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is north of Lake Boone Trail, east and south of Blue Ridge Road, and east of Interstate 440.

Located on the corner of Blue Ridge Road and Lake Boone Trail is one of the largest medical complexes in the area. The Rex Healthcare Hospital provides many of the major medical services for residents of the surrounding area. The close proximity to Interstate 440 also makes it an ideal hospital for handling incoming trauma patients. Surrounding the hospital are many different medical practices and specialties, making the area a great destination for medical care. With this many medical centers in the area, it is no surprise that quite a few of the hospital employees also live in the area.

To the south, off of Blue Ride Road, is the North Carolina Museum of Art. This large museum provides a wide number of exhibits focusing on art from around the world. Numerous educational programs also help make art more understandable to the average visitor. The museum is a favorite field trip destination for area students.

A few miles northeast of Ilda Ray Harrison is the area’s largest shopping mall, offering well over 100 stores. The Crabtree Valley Mall is host to a great number of shop, providing an assortment of goods and services to meet the needs and desires of the surrounding neighborhoods. The mall has many of the biggest national chain stores and some smaller regional stores as well. Some of the best-known stores include Macy’s, Belk’s, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Nine West, Lacoste, Pacific Sunwear, Best Buy, The Lego Store, The Apple Store, and Men’s Warehouse. The mall is also home to a wide selection of restaurants, representing a wide variety of different tastes. Many come to the mall just for the food.
