Located across the street from the North Carolina Museum of Art is the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. The museum has numerous exhibits that are meant to help educate children and adults alike. Some of the exhibits in the museum cover area water life, birds, a variety of mammals, reptiles, and even dinosaurs. There is also a living conservatory that features a butterfly garden and arthropods. The museum has a store where visitors can purchase science kits and a variety of toys to remind them of their visit.
