Hemsbury is a tiny neighborhood near Raleigh. The neighborhood is made up of only a single road, Hemsbury Way, which is situated off Laurel Hills Road to the east. Major area roads include Duraleigh Road to the west and Edwards Mill road to the east. The two roads intersect to the south. The neighborhood itself is in a heavily wooded, mostly residential area. Area roads are typically lined with trees, with pockets of forest beyond the neighborhood on all sides.

East of Hemsbury is Laurel Hills Park. This area park is popular for youth baseball. The park has two baseball fields, a large multi-purpose field used for soccer and football, and a playground. The large parking lot makes it highly accessible for a large number of fans who often show up to watch their friends and family play.

A little more than a mile down Edwards Mill Road to Creedmoor Road is Crabtree Valley Mall. This mall is one of the most popular malls in the area and easily the largest, with more than 100 shops. Many of the mall’s stores carry major national brands and provide a wide assortment of products and services that appeal to a great number of the area residents. Some of the area stores include The Lego Store, The Apple Store, Macy’s, Men’s Warehouse, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, Coach, Hollister, Belk’s, Nine West, Lacoste, Old Navy, and Pacific Sunwear.

Crabtree Valley Mall is also popular throughout the area for its wide number of restaurants, such as PF Chang’s China Bistro, the Cheesecake Factory, and Panera Bread. There are also a wide variety of major brand-name, quick-service restaurants inside of the food court of the mall to provide easy dining for mall shoppers.
