Green Pines Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Located east of downtown Raleigh just south of Route 64, the community of Green Pines is a combination of single family homes and apartments. Mautture rees are everywhere, along the streets, between the homes and in thick groves between subdivisions. Most of the homes were built during the 1980s and 1990s and the developers made a point to work around the trees. Streets are gently curved and there are only two main roads in and out making this a quiet, pedestrian friendly place. One part of the neighborhood sits outside the main boundaries. A cluster of homes, and even more trees, sits inside Daniel Circle that exits east off Hodge Road.
Less than a half mile away, residents enjoy the Shoppes at Midway Plantation Mall. Home Depot and Target are the anchor stores at this upscale, boldly colored shopping center. Built in 2007, it is also home to Ross Dress For Less and Dick’s Sporting Goods. In addition to a food court with the usual fast food options, the mall has a row of restaurants on one end including Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Applebee’s, IHOP and Chili’s. Across the street are a Lowes Foods Market, Rex Healthcare Clinic, and the Wake Veterinary Hospital.
The closest school is Hodge Road Elementary on Mingo Bluff Boulevard, about a mile south. River Oaks Middle School is two miles west on New Bern Avenue, and Knightdale High is on Bryan Chalk Lane, three miles northeast. Green Pines Baptist Church on Hodge Road is right in the neighborhood and also offers a weekday preschool.
