There are wonderful outdoors areas and facilities right around the corner from Glen Valley. Baileywick Road Park has baseball diamonds, turf fields and lighted tennis courts. Lynn Lake Park has a recreation center with classes and an indoor gym, baseball and turf fields, tennis courts and a three-mile walking path around Lynn Lake. The William B Umstead State Park is a 6,000 acres oasis of nature surrounded by a growing metropolis and offers boating, hiking, a bridle trail, educational programs, and camping.
