Just down the road from Holy Trinity to the south is one of the largest shopping destinations in the area. At the corner of Lead Mine Road and Glenwood Avenue is Crabtree Valley Mall. The mall is host to several large national brands, with many small shops, as well. Some of the more popular shops include The Lego Store, Best Buy, Sears, the Apple Store, and Barnes and Noble.
Continuing down Lead Mine Road, which turns into Blue Ridge Road, will take commuters to several other destinations in the area. The first is Rex Healthcare, which is a decent-sized area hospital that has numerous specialties in the large professional center just south of it.
For those who are interested in art and culture, just south of Rex Healthcare is the massive North Carolina Museum of Art complex. This impressive art museum is also a common destination for more active individuals in the community. Surrounding the museum are numerous paths that twist around the complex and surrounding area, providing miles of exercise for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
