The Forest Ridge neighborhood is situated in northern Raleigh, North Carolina, roughly one mile north of Interstate 440. This small residential community consists of just nine home sites on .007 square miles of land. Trently Court is the neighborhood’s only street, which creates a cul-de-sac to the east of Bland Road. Approximately a half-mile west of Forest Ridge is a small community park – Eastgate Park. Although not the most scenic or best-kept park in the city, Eastgate offers a variety of amenities. There is a large open field for games, sports, and picnicking, as well as a small playground, and tennis and basketball courts. There is also a walking trail and a small museum. For those who can afford the membership dues, the Carolina Country Club is within five miles to the southwest of Forest Ridge.

Downtown Raleigh is less than 15 minutes to the south of Forest Ridge. Here, you’ll find the State Capitol, Marbles Kids Museum, and Museum of Natural Sciences. There are also several colleges and universities in the downtown area. The most prominent of these is North Carolina State University, one of the state’s largest public institutions.
