Five Points East is a vast area that sits in the upturned glove of Glenwood Avenue, Wade Avenue, and North Boulevard. These opportune thoroughfares, also known as US Highways 50, 70, and 401 form a busy region with bustling character.

This housing district is located in an historical area. Homes are older, sometimes listed on the historical register, and are often full of yesterday’s charm. Many wood houses have wrap-around porches, short columns at the doorstep, and detached storage buildings in the back yard. While some dwellings have short, brick retaining walls, others are not as elevated. Paved sidewalks and elaborate steps adorn this neighborhood. Each yard reveals a landscape detail that is sole and unique.

With Underwood Elementary School on the same block, parents can walk their primary school children to their educational destinations. Needham Broughton High is the local high school, while Daniels is the middle school. This area has many school zones and an overabundance of private and public schools. Many children live in the Five Points East neighborhood.

Recreation and amusement are local to the district. Ticketmaster is located within a mile, so purchasing tickets for shows, exhibits, concerts, and performances is convenient.

The Raleigh Municipal Rose Garden is within walking distance, as is Pullen Park. The rose garden is actually a theatre, an amphitheater, and performance center. This entertainment venue also supports an awesome garden of many rare rose varieties. Pullen Park is more than a common spot. This extravagant park is home to a train, a carousel, and kiddie boats. Pullen Park also provides excellent walking trails and many family-oriented activities. At night, this diverse park is enlivened by concerts and performances.

Restaurants and exceptional shopping are available at Cameron Village, a shopping village and district that local residents adore. This shopping locale features many international cuisines, renown deals, and real treasures.

Five Points East is adjacent to Glenwood Avenue or Highway 70.
