The neighborhood of Comstock Landing lies in northern Raleigh, North Carolina, roughly ten miles north of downtown. This community of townhomes and condominiums spans about .036 square miles to the east of Old Lead Mine Road. Comstock Landing consists of just a few streets, Upperlake Drive, Thrush Ridge Lane, and Swan Neck Lane. A rather large pond borders the neighborhood on the northeast corner. Although it is surrounded by woods, the neighborhood itself has few shade trees. Comstock Landing sits within Wake County, in the 27615 zip code area.

Lead Mine Road Elementary School is situated just outside of the neighborhood to the west. The North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre is a short drive to the southwest, also along Lead Mine Road. There are several dining options surrounding the theatre.

The Comstock Landing neighborhood is conveniently located near several area amenities. Six Forks Station, a popular area retail center, lies just a half mile to the north. This shopping center offers a movie theater, a Kmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, and several specialty stores and eateries.

Stonehenge Market sits within two miles west of Comstock Landing. Here, residents have access to a supermarket. Banking and dining options include a doughnut shop, a pizza place, an Outback Steakhouse, a Subway, and a Mexican restaurant.

For outdoor recreation, Comstock Landing residents head north to Baileywick Road Park. This small neighborhood park offers two baseball fields, a playground area, and open space for games, sports, and picnics.

The prestigious North Ridge Country Club lies within a few miles to the southeast. Amenities here include two 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, a large clubhouse, a recently revamped fitness center, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
