Carrollton Woods is a small neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. In fact, the neighborhood is so small that it makes up only a single road, Russell Drive. Carrollton Woods is situated between Inman Park Drive to the north, Lead Mine Road to the west, and North Hills Drive to the south and east.

To the east of Carrollton Woods is a small but relatively popular country club. The Northbrook Country Club has a large swimming pool, a kiddie pool, three tennis courts, a playground, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. Northbrook provides tennis lessons and leagues for tennis players of all ages and experience levels throughout the year. The club also provides swimming and diving lessons. Competitive swim teams that compete throughout the area utilize the pool as well.

Less than a mile away to the southwest of Carrollton Woods is the Crabtree Valley Mall. With well over 100 stores providing an assortment of goods and services, Crabtree is easily the largest shopping center in the area. A majority of the stores at Crabtree Valley Mall are national brand stores like Macy’s, The Lego Store, The Apple Store, Sears, Belk’s, Abercrombie and Fitch, Nine West, The Men’s Warehouse, Aeropostale, and Nine West. The mall is also a popular dining destination, offering several major restaurants chains.

For area golfers, Carolina Country Club is a simple trip a few miles south to Glenwood Avenue. This large country club is one of the most popular in the area, provides a course that is popular among golfers of all experience levels. The club also has an excellent tennis program, lap swimming pool, and a quality fitness center.
