Despite being uninhabited, the neighborhood and the surrounding area are quite conveniently located. Interstate 40 is a half mile to the west and converges with Interstate 440/U.S. Highway 1 about a mile to the south. These major roadways provide area residents with easy access to Greater Raleigh. The downtown area is but a 15-minute drive to the southeast and features cultural attractions such as the state capitol, Marbles Kids Museum, and Museum of Natural Sciences.

Bryan Woods is also near a variety of higher-education options. The most prominent of these, North Carolina State University, is situated only a few miles east of the neighborhood. NC State is one of the largest public universities in the state. There are also a handful of private colleges and universities within 10 miles of Bryan Woods. These include Meredith College, St. Augustine’s College, Shaw University, and Peace College.

For shopping and dining, area residents head west to the Cary Towne Center, situated just on the other side of I-40. This indoor shopping center has a movie theater, several dining options, and specialty stores. Anchor stores include Hudson Belk, JC Penney, Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Sears. A little more than a mile from the neighborhood, the outdoor Crossroads Plaza offers a Bed Bath & Beyond, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Olive Garden, and another cinema.

Being so closely situated to major area roadways, higher-education options, and the downtown area means that residents will have no shortage of things to see and do once the neighborhood is occupied. Other nearby attractions include the William B. Umstead State Park and the adjacent Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
