Braeloch is a community of just over 300 residents in western Raleigh, North Carolina. This neighborhood is made up of several dozen home sites on .067 square miles of land. This community is set north of Chapel Hill Road and east of Northeast Maynard Road. Streets within the community are Fincastle Drive, Duxbury Drive, Elsmore Court, and McCleary Court. One of the largest malls in the city, this multi-level indoor complex offers a few hundred stores, a movie theater, and a variety of dining options. Major anchors here are Belk, Sears, J.C. Penney, Dillard’s, and Macy’s. An outdoor shopping center, the Crossroads Plaza, is situated slightly further southeast.
Braeloch is roughly equidistant to three popular area parks. Fred G. Bond Metro Park, one of Raleigh’s largest city parks, is situated to the southwest. William B. Umstead State Park, a nearly 5,500-acre expanse of land, lies a few miles to the north, right next to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. A few miles to the southeast, near the North Carolina State University campus, sits Lake Johnson Nature Park, a scenic park featuring a 150-acre lake.
