Battleridge North is a neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina in the 27610 zip code. This is a neighborhood that doesn’t have easily definable borders. It is located north of the Battle Bridge neighborhood and south of Barrington Village with the Neuse River to the east. This is a newer housing development of single-family detached homes that have smaller yards and sidewalks for walking. There are open spaces and trees, but not so much around the homes as between them.
The I-40 and the I-440 beltway are just a short drive away and offer access to the cities of the Triangle. It is located southwest of downtown Raleigh and an equal distance to Garner.
Less than three miles from Battleridge North is Anderson Point Park. This park is accessible for just about everyone; it has a paved path that covers a large part of the park. There are in all about four miles of trails in the park that are multi-use. A playground will entertain the youngsters, as there is plenty of open space. The trails provide access to the Neuse River and Crabtree Creek where kayaking and canoeing are allowed. There is fishing, as well, in both bodies of water. For a more relaxed time, there is a bench at the lookout point. This is a passive park where wildlife viewing, picnicking, and relaxing are the main activities. An amphitheatre and two shelters can be rented for hosting events. This is also a popular venue for weddings.
When residents want to go food shopping, just a short drive away on Rock Quarry Road there is a Food Lion store. At the same location there is a McDonald’s and a Domino’s Pizza.
