Augusta Crossing Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
In the heart of North Carolina’s Wake County is its capital city, Raleigh. Home to more than 350,000, Raleigh is also known as the “City of Oaks.” On the city’s east side is the mid-sized neighborhood of Augusta Crossing. Located east of the Cliff Benson Beltline (Interstate 440), Augusta Crossing sits south of Poole Road and the historic Oak View County Park.
Access to the Augusta Crossing subdivision is off Dowling Road. The neighborhood is in development with some of its newest homes being built along Golden Bell Drive and Chinese Fir Trail. There are several vacant lots for development along Ikes Pond Lane.
Minutes from Augusta Crossing is the city’s Worthdale Park. A smaller park of only 36 acres, Worthdale Park features baseball fields, tennis courts and access to Raleigh’s Greenway Trail System, which spans more than 60 miles throughout the city. Worthdale Park supports Raleigh’s environmental efforts and offers visitors convenient containers for recycling items like cans and plastic bottles.
Raleigh’s green and sustainable effort continues downtown with its new electric vehicle charging stations located in the Edenton Street parking deck. Other charging stations can be found on West Cabarrus Street near the Raleigh Convention Center. The downtown and Convention Center are only six miles from Augusta Crossing.
Downtown Raleigh offers everything from eclectic cuisine to unique shops to historical sites and state museums. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences on West Jones Street is the southeast’s largest natural history museum. It is free to the public as are the North Carolina Museum of Art and the North Carolina Museum of History, also located in the downtown Capital District.
Augusta Crossing is about three miles from both the Raleigh Country Club and the WakeMed Hospital-Raleigh Campus on New Bern Road.
