As the name also implies, the neighborhood is located in the 14621 zip code of the city on the edge of the Genesee River.

The boundaries are as shapely as the landscape that it follows, with the northern border of Long Acre Road, which swoops down Hudson Avenue to meet with East Ridge Road. The eastern line is North Goodman Street that intersects with the southern boundary of Clifford Avenue. To the west, the boundary is interchangeable with the Genesee River and St. Paul Street.

The Group 14621 Association, inc neighborhood has plenty of activities to keep the residents entertained throughout the year. To the north are the Lakeshore Country Club, as well as the Latte Golf Course, and shopping to the east at the Irondequoit Mall. The Rochester Red Wings Baseball can be found on the southern side of the neighborhood and the Rochester Rhinos Soccer is to the west.

The neighborhood, populated with sturdy two story homes built at the beginning of the 1900s, has a neat appearance with small yards on the front curb and large green yards both in front and behind the houses. The symmetrical design is offset by the abundance of large oak trees and green shrubs that line the properties.

Sidewalks adorn each street with a few exceptions, but bike lanes are not common, and expect cyclists to share the road with vehicles and follow the same rules. The neighborhood streets are narrow, and many cyclists use the sidewalk to avoid traffic. Public transportation is available throughout the city via the Rochester Genesee Regional Transport Authority (RGRTA) buses.
