Spring Valley Neighborhood

Spring Valley spans about 33 square miles within Clark County, Nevada. Located just two miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, it occupies much of the southwestern quarter of the Las Vegas Valley. Its boundaries include Sahara Avenue on the north, Warm Springs Road on the south, Decatur Boulevard on the east, and Hualapai way on the west. Home to many housing subdivisions, Spring Valley is a top residential location in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Spring Valley features strip malls lining large boulevards connecting suburban Las Vegas to the tourist-driven commercial spots in the Las Vegas Strip. Its northern area is known for its rural-estate zoning, while its southern area is fast developing as a prime commercial and residential zone, as well.

Some of the big residential communities around Spring Valley include the Spring Oaks Village, Heritage Park Senior Apartment Complex, Twain Estates Apartments, and Borgata Apartments.

Spring Valley’s thoroughfares, especially those along Rainbow Boulevard, offer a wide array of local casinos, restaurants, and shops mainly catering to locals. Some of the most popular restaurants in the area include Nora’s Cuisine, Egg Works, the Cracked Egg, Kobe Sushi Bar, and the Maple Tree. Because of the significant Asian population in the area, Spring Valley also houses Chinatown (the Asian business district), which passes by the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Rainbow Boulevard.

Spring Valley features a large hospital facility through the Spring Valley Hospital. The area is also a short distance from other medical facilities including the St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, and Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital. There is a branch of the University Medical Center (UMC,) Quick Care clinics (primary care and urgent care clinics) located along Rainbow Boulevard, as well.

Schools in the surrounding area of Spring Valley include Sierra Vista High School, Southwest Technical Academy, Bishop Gorman High School, Odyssey Charter High School, Spring Valley Christian Academy, Faith Lutheran Junior/Senior High School, and Canarelli Middle School.
