Ecco Neighborhood
Also known as East Calhoun, Ecco is a Calhoun-Isle neighborhood near Uptown, conveniently adjacent to Lake Calhoun, one of the most popular destinations in Minneapolis. Ecco is located in Hennepin County, within the 55408 zip code area. Lake Street contains Ecco to the north, and a southern border is created by 36th Street and Lakewood Cemetery. On the east, Ecco is bounded by Hennepin Avenue. Its western border is created by Lake Calhoun.
Walking the streets of this relaxed, lake-shore community, you’ll see mostly 20th-century single-family homes, duplexes and apartments. As of 2000, Ecco had more than 1,540 residents with median annual household incomes of $49,515, which is roughly $17,000 higher than the overall Minneapolis average.
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, Ecco is the perfect neighborhood for you. In Ecco, you’re only a few blocks from the hiking and biking trails, playing fields, beaches, and other amenities that Lake Calhoun has to offer. On hot summer days, you can expect this popular Minneapolis-area destination to attract plenty of visitors, but a daily early-morning jog should prove more peaceful. Golfers can head to Minikahda Club’s golf course, conveniently located directly across Lake Calhoun.
During the winter months, of which Minnesota has no shortage, the nearby lakes and parks offer the perfect opportunity for some ice-skating, a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy.
In addition to all the parks, lakes, trails, and outdoor amenities in the area, Ecco also has many restaurants, theaters, nightclubs, and shops to keep residents entertained. Situated less than a mile from the popular hot spot of Uptown, which is straight north on Hennepin, the Ecco area offers plenty to see and do. Some popular local attractions include Walker Library, Uptown Bar and Café, Landmark Lagoon Cinema, Bryant Lake Theater, and Calhoun Square, just to name a few.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
