Greenway Village is a neighborhood in the lush Florida suburb of Royal Palm Beach. A condominium community of wide lawns and well-groomed landscaping, it sits near tranquil lakes and the forests and fields of a large city park. Royal Palm Beach, incidentally, is nowhere near the beach. Named for the royal palm, a favored Florida tree, it also honors the island city of Palm Beach, which the town’s founder admired.

Narrow canals surround the neighborhood on two sides. The east boundary is Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. On the west, a canal separates the village from Preservation Park and two local schools. The south boundary is also a canal, and the north boundary is the loop of Road C, which divides Greenway Village from Village Walk. The neighborhood zip code is 33411.

Village children attend Cypress Trail Elementary and Crestwood Middle School, both within walking distance. The high school is Royal Palm Beach High.

The Mall at Wellington Green, a multi-level enclosed mall with more than 170 stores, many restaurants, a food court, and a children’s play area, is about four miles south of the neighborhood. The Crossroads is another convenient shopping area, right in Royal Palm Beach.

Technically, all of Royal Palm Beach is a bird sanctuary, but the city also prides itself on its 15 city parks. Huge Preservation Park, just west of Greenway Village, has a recreation center with a gym and weight rooms. It also has playing fields, a hockey rink, and a tot lot. Lakeside Park has gazebos and a fishing pier. Robiner Park has a well-managed dog park area.

Greenway Village is a peaceful part of the pleasant town of Royal Palm Beach. With lush surroundings, local schools, convenient shopping, and a well-equipped park nearby, the neighborhood has everything, except a beach.
