Two main amenities at Okeeheelee Park are the 111-acre Jim Brandon Equestrian center, which has a covered arena, open riding area and training rings and the 27-hole golf complex, which has a chipping area, driving range, practice putting green, pro shop and snack bar.

The nearest mall to the Cannongate community is the Mall at Wellington Green at 10300 West Forest Hill Boulevard, a luxurious complex with a Mediterranean-style exterior design and anchor stores such as Dillard’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom and JCPenney. In addition, there are more than 170 specialty shops and restaurants.

Students in Cannongate attend John I. Leonard High School, located at 4701 10th Avenue North, which has 2,257 students.
