Lakewood Crest Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Lakewood Crest neighborhood is composed of new ranch and contemporary-style homes, set on small yet exquisitely manicured lawns. Some homes have enclosed, in-ground pools. Sidewalks run along both sides of the streets, shaded by large oaks, making for a pleasant walk to the neighborhood pond and greenspaces.
Despite the suburban location, Lakewood Crest is close to many conveniences and recreational facilities. These include several large supermarkets and a national pharmacy within a five-minute drive. The Mango Recreation Center, with year-round programs for all ages, is within walking distance. Mango Elementary School is also quite close. Lakewood Crest is bound along the south by Clay Pit Road. Interior Roads include Limerick Drive, Kilkenny Drive, and Connacht Way.
Lakewood Crest is located approximately a mile south of I-4 and a mile east of I-75, giving easy access to all Tampa facilities and attractions. For instance, the Tampa International Airport is only 18 miles away. For those who travel frequently, this is a true asset. But it’s important for other reasons, too. The airport area has one of the region’s top malls, International Plaza, which features upscale shopping and quality dining. Also near the airport is Rocky Point Golf Course. This popular public course was founded in 1911 by the Tampa Automobile Club.
Lettuce Lake Park is only 10 miles away and provides many recreational opportunities within its 240 acres. Bike and jogging trails, boardwalks for wildlife viewing, and canoe rentals for exploring the Hillsborough River make this a popular area close to home. For recreation on the Gulf, such as saltwater fishing, Caladesi State Park is about 40 miles west. Caladesi has won acclaim as one of America’s Best Beaches and is perfect for kayakers and beachcombers.
The University of Tampa and historic Ybor City are within a 15-mile drive.
