The Vineyards, a community in northeast Tallahassee, Florida, is located just south of Highway 10 near the Intersection of Highway 10 and I-10. Nearby communities include Lafayette Meadows and Lafayette Oaks.

Streets within The Vineyards community include clever names such as Chardonnay Place, Vineyard Way, Trellis Lane, and Winery Way. The Vineyards offers residents modern homes on oversized lots for plenty of space and privacy. The community is almost reminiscent of an actual winery: the homes almost seem to disappear into the rolling plains and lush vegetation.

While the community feels remote, a quick one-stop shopping destination for residents is not far away. Vineyard Shopping Center is located just to the north along Highway 10. This shopping center offers a Publix Super Market, Great Clips, Anytime Fitness, Elegant Nails, Golf Etc., and various restaurants and eateries.

A fun, local attraction for the whole family, located just north off of Highway 10 is the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum, showcasing nearly 100 cars from as early as 1860. Some examples of the iconic automobiles displayed here include the 1903 Stanley Steamer, the 1911 Ford Model T Delivery Truck, and the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.

If automobiles don’t happen to float your boat, there are other points of interest near The Vineyards for entertainment and excitement, especially for those that love the outdoors.

Piney Z Lake is a large lake just minutes south of The Vineyards. The lake is used solely for recreational purposes such as boating, skiing, paddling, and other water sports. Hiking and camping are also popular at this lake.

JR Alford Greenway, located near Piney Z Lake is a great place to go to get out and enjoy all nature has to offer, as there is certainly a lot offered here. Just some of the activities include backpacking, hiking, horseback riding, guided tours, children’s activities, picnicking, biking, nature viewing, and miles of nature trails for walking and jogging.
