Pumpkin Hill Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Nestled along the Timucaun Ecological and Historical Preserve, Pumpkin Hill is a small, picturesque community of Jacksonville. It’s bordered to the south, west, and east by the preserve itself and to the north by Cedar Point Road.
In addition to being surrounded by the greenery, there is lots of scenic beauty and many opportunities for outdoors activities within easy walking distance of anywhere in the neighborhood. The Nassau Sound is to the east, and Fort George Island and Fort George Inlet is to the southeast. Fort Caroline Shores and Chicopit Bay are to the south.
The Jacksonville Huguenot Park is four miles to the southeast, and it offers a playground, a multiple-use ball field, views of the bay, and picnic facilities. Little Talbot Island State Park is just a few miles to the east, and this 2,500-acre park has dunes, forests, and salt marshes within the western side of the park. It also offers plentiful opportunities to observe wildlife, from bobcats to river otters. Among the attractions are a nature trail, a picnic pavilion, a small boat ramp, and a playground.
Although the tree-lined streets provide the opportunity for residents to escape from city life in Jacksonville, Pumpkin Hill is still near many stores and shopping centers. Regency Square Mall, an indoor shopping arena, is an easy drive to the south. It has almost 200 shops, and it offers mall gift cards, a club, an electronic scooter rental, a nursing lounge, and safety escorts. River City Marketplace and the Atlantic Village Shopping Center are also nearby.
