These paths twist and weave with the many creeks and rivers in this part of town. Along the banks of the creeks, streams, and rivers, there are benches and scenic points to stop and take in all the natural scenery surrounding walkers and bikers on this gorgeous journey about the neighborhood.

One of the most beautiful things to see around Holiday Harbor is Castaway Island Preserve. The walkways through here are filled with tropical flowers, beautiful landscape, and plenty of wild life to observe. This preserve is usually not busy and is a great place for tourists and residents to take advantage of, if they are having trouble deciding on entertainment or something else to do on a weekend or on days off.

Alimacani Elementary School is a short drive away, north of Holiday Harbors. This school is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, in Jacksonville for Kindergarten through the 6th grade.

San Pablo Road is the main street out of this neighborhood and has plenty of shopping and dining. Going north on this road will bring you to Atlantic Boulevard. Atlantic Boulevard will bring you to the ocean and one of the most popular beaches in Jacksonville, Neptune Beach. Neptune Beach is the smaller of the two main beaches in Jacksonville, and the other is Jacksonville Beach. Both are terrific beach areas for days when the sun and sand are what you’re really craving.
