Fairways Forest Apartments for Rent

Northwest of downtown Jacksonville, in an area bordered to the west and to the north by St. Johns River, is a large development known as Fairways Forest. It is a wooded neighborhood with many winding roads and cul-de-sacs containing mostly single-story ranch-style homes.

Notable schools in the area include Lake Lucina Elementary School, Lighthouse Christian School, and Learning Tree Schools.

Notable restaurants in the area include Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q, Gene’s Seafood Restaurant, and Toninos Trattoria.

Tree Hill Nature Center and Kona State park are the nearby parks, with several others reasonably close by.

Seven golf courses are in the immediate area, with the San Jose Country Club and Blue Cypress Golf Club being the most notable.

To the south, the Arlington Expressway will take you either to downtown Jacksonville or the beaches. To the east, the Florida 9A freeway will take you either south or to the beaches.

To the north, near the river, you can practice your batting swing at Baseball Heaven.

For shopping in the area, try Arden B. – St. John’s Town Center, Dillard’s Regency Square, or the Regency Square Mall.

Downtown Jacksonville, of course, has all of the amenities and activities expected of a major city. Museums, theaters, parks, restaurants, and tourist attractions abound. The NFL plays here in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Or you can just hang out on the shores of the St. Johns River and enjoy the scenery or watch the sun set.
