Brackridge Apartments for Rent

Across St. John’s River and southeast of downtown Jacksonville is the heavily wooded neighborhood known as Brackridge. It is really two distinct neighborhoods. North of Touchton Road, it is a neighborhood of single-story, ranch-style dwellings, most of which have a carport instead of a garage. South of this road, in newer developments, are more expensive houses and condos.

There are only a few schools in the immediate area. They include both public and Catholic institutions. Close to the Brackridge neighborhood are a welding school and the Florida Coastal School of Law Library and Technology Center. Jacksonville University is the major institution of higher learning in the area.

There are numerous restaurants in Jacksonville. Ten of them are close to the Brackridge neighborhood, include including the five-star Blue Bamboo. Residents can also check out highly rated Bistro Aix, Matthew’s Restaurant, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House (Riverfront). Brackridge Park is on the eastern edge of the community. Among several other parks close to the neighborhood is Fort Clinch State Park, which features a 19th-century fort.

The downtown area of Jacksonville boasts many attractions along the St. John’s River and also features several museums and performing arts centers. Brackridge residents can choose from numerous golf courses in the area, including some PGA pro courses. The most notable of these pro courses is Sawgrass, situated just south of Jacksonville in St. Augustine. The city hosts the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars at Everbank Field.

Jacksonville is also an East Coast city, which means access to the Atlantic Ocean as well as the beach.
