Atlantic Highlands is a neighborhood just off the coast in eastern Jacksonville, Florida. It is bounded by Atlantic Boulevard/State Highway 10 on the north and Sam Pablo Road South on the west. The eastern and southern boundaries are less conspicuous, marked by the surrounding waterways rather than roadways. Area communities include Holiday Harbors and Golden Glades/The Woods.

Close proximity to the ocean means that days at the beach are a popular pastime for Atlantic Highlands residents. Golfing is also convenient, with two golf clubs situated within a few miles of the neighborhood. Selva Marina Country Club, to the northeast, was founded in 1958 and offers members a long list of amenities. In addition to a challenging, par-72, 18-hole course, there is a driving range, putting green, pro shop, youth camps, tennis courts, junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, and fitness center. Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, situated to the southeast, is another private club that offers similar amenities.

Atlantic Highlands residents enjoy close proximity to several area medical centers, including Baptist Medical Center Beaches and Mayo Clinic Hospital, both to the south of the neighborhood. A shopping center situated not far from these medical facilities offers a Target, Michael’s, Panera Bread, Panda Express, and Wal-Mart Supercenter, among other shopping and dining options. Another large retail area, consisting of Regency Square Mall, Regency Plaza, and Regency Park, can be found roughly five miles west of the neighborhood, along Highway 10. Clearly, a little retail therapy is within easy reach when living in Atlantic Highlands.

Other prominent attractions within 10 miles of the Atlantic Highlands neighborhood are the Craig Municipal Airport, Florida Community College – South Campus, and the University of North Florida.
