Arlington Hills Apartments for Rent

The Arlington Hills community in Jacksonville is about 20 minutes northeast of the downtown area. This community is bounded by Fort Caroline Road to the north, Merrill Road to the south, Townsend Boulevard to the west, and Highway 113 to the east. The neighborhood is primarily residential. However, along Merrill Road on the south end of the community, there are restaurants, small shopping centers, gas stations, banking institutions, and a post office.

Homes here are primarily single-family ranches or two-story residences built in the 1990s. Some date to the 1960s, however. Area home prices range from $100,000 to $200,000.

Craig Municipal Airport is located only minutes southeast of Arlington Hills. This public airport accommodates personal aircraft as well as small commuter planes.

Arlington Hills is located in the Duval County School District. There are a number of elementary schools in the immediate area. Most older students in the community attend Fort Arlington Middle School and Terry Parker High School.

Jacksonville University is located just minutes west of Arlington Hills. This institution is a private university that offers more 70 undergraduate programs as well as several master’s degrees.

For residents who are nature lovers, the community park, Arlington Park, is located in the northern sector of Arlington Hills. This park offers picnic facilities, playgrounds, and lit tennis courts. This is also the location of the Arlington Hills Community Center. Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens is located just to the east of Arlington Hills and is a great family-friendly activity. The Arboretum has more than 120 acres of nature preserve, with an incredible variety of North Florida wildlife. There are plenty of trails for hiking. Family activities such as owl prowls, campfires, and nature walks are offered on most weekends.

For the golf enthusiast, Mill Cove Golf Club is nearby. This club features an Arnold Palmer signature course, a lit driving range, a restaurant, a pro shop, and a lounge.
