Town of Blake Apartments for Rent

(hide neighborhood information)

The Town of Blake neighborhood is a comfortable area of ranch homes in the quieter part of Daytona Beach. Large lots are dotted with palm trees and sidewalks invite a morning walk to the beach, the neighborhood’s eastern boundary.

Town of Blake homes are conveniently located next to major retail districts and the city’s most popular attractions. It is bound by Belville, South Ridgewood and Reed Canal roads, and East Colonial Drive.

Belville Road is a major thoroughfare, and many retail centers are located here, including nearby Wal-Mart SuperCenter and Sam’s Club. Other national retailers have a presence here as well. Both local and franchise restaurants can be found along Belville and South Ridgewood Avenue.

The Club at Pelican Bay is the closest golf course, with both memberships and public access. There are a number of other courses, including Indigo Lake and Daytona Beach, two of the most popular public clubs. Riviera Country Club is nearby and a private club.

Top area attractions include the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, the 2nd tallest in America, the Howard Thurman Home, and the Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens. Other favorite recreational and historic sites are only a short drive away, including Cape Canaveral, Canaveral National Seashore, and Ocala National Forest.

Higher educational facilities include Daytona State College and Bethune-Cookman University, as well as the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. There is a community college about a half-hour’s drive west of Daytona Beach.

Daytona is also home to three public libraries, in addition to those at the universities.

Peabody Auditorium and Daytona Beach Bandshell are the sites of many festivals and great performances. The Bandshell is historic, dating to 1937, with free year-round concerts overlooking the ocean.

Autumn is a great time for music festivals, with the American Music Festival in September and the Blues Festival in October.
