The Boulder Point neighborhood of Flagstaff, Arizona is comfortably nestled slightly away from the freeways and highways that lead to this busy part of the city. It is a quiet area, situated beneath tall, stately pine trees. This mountain community has log cabins and sturdy cottages that can stand up to the rugged lifestyle of its residents.

Flagstaff is every outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Mountains and forests in the region are ripe for fishing, hunting, hiking, backpacking, and camping. Exquisite seasons mark the activity of choice. Winter provides snow for skiing. Dense forests provide shade and shelter from summer’s intense heat. Autumn and spring are mild, transitional periods, that fabulously display the brilliant colors of local trees.

Boulder Point is located on the north end of the city. It resides comfortably between the historic U.S. 66 and Highway 180. Tonto National Forest sits a few miles west of Boulder Point, close enough to view the trees and appreciate the wildlife. Some animals manage to make their way to these developed neighborhoods. It is not uncommon to see deer, raccoons, rabbits and other creatures hanging out in the community.

Northern Arizona University sits south of the Boulder Point neighborhood. The college provides an interesting dimension to the Flagstaff area. Tourists flock to both Lowell Observatory and the United States Naval Observatory. These observatories are so important, in fact, that Flagstaff issued an ordinance to minimize light and let its visitors enjoy the stars.

Boulder Point is a charming community, established in the beautiful setting of Arizona’s mountainous pine country.
