Fairview is a small community within the city of Anchorage that has seen its ups and downs over the years but as of late has been on a steady rise. It is quickly revitalizing its streets and residences in a robust project sponsored by the community council, local churches, and the city of Anchorage.

The community is bordered by downtown Anchorage to the west, 5th Avenue to the north, Merill Field to the east, and a network of city parks to the south.

The proximity of downtown allows short commutes to the 5th Avenue Mall, downtown attractions, world-famous Ship Creek, and the numerous businesses and office buildings that dot the downtown of Alaska’s largest city. The Sitka Street Park, East Chester Park, Chester Creek Greenbelt Park, and Fairview Park provide an escape from the city life, allows dogs and children alike to run around and play, and adds a dynamic element that many Anchorage communities lack.
