Harlandale Apartments for Rent

Harlandale is an established neighborhood in San Antonio. The borders of this community are irregular, but it is located near interstate highways 37, 35 and 410, with highway 87 to the north. This is a large Texas neighborhood that has many different housing options: single-family detached homes, multi-family housing, and apartments. The terrain is flat, and there are sidewalks for residents to enjoy. An occasional tall palm tree can be seen among the trees that line the streets. Downtown is an easy drive to the north.

Harlandale residents enjoy a wide selection of parks in their neighborhood. Stinson Park has 75 acres, with baseball and softball fields and a third of a mile of trails. Belaire Park features a playscape, picnic facilities, and a skate plaza on 6.5 acres. Mission County Park has a little of everything, with baseball and soccer fields, a playscape, and picnic pavilions that can be rented.

There are two community centers in this neighborhood. Both of them participate in the summer camp, which provides eight weeks of supervised activities for children and youth during the summer school break.

Harlandale Memorial Stadium is the home field for both McCollum and Harlandale High School. It is the site of track and field events, as well as football. Mission San Jose Church is an historic attraction. The church is located within a park run by the National Park Service and offers many scheduled activities. Southwest Military Drive, which runs through the center of the neighborhood, has both a Wal-Mart Supercenter and an HEB grocery store.

This neighborhood has much to offer to residents as far as history, parks, and housing options.
