The Donaldson Terrace neighborhood in San Antonio is large and sprawling. An aerial view of this community would show Lees Creek Park at the northwestern tip and Bandera Shopping Center on the southeastern corner. This huge neighborhood envelops Seeling Park and is bordered by Joe Ward Park.
On the north side of Bandera Road, or the TX-421 spur, the Donaldson Terrace community resembles a city square, with clean lines of crossed roads. Filled with carports, sidewalks, and small decorative trees, this neighborhood has a small-family, generational spirit.
The State Highway TX-421 spur is a special route leading to nearby Interstate 10, Highway 87, and the River Walk of San Antonio. This walking tour is an excellent way to become familiar with local history.
Public and private schools and universities are convenient to the Donaldson Terrace community. Madison Elementary School borders the property. St. Mary’s, a Catholic liberal arts university, is also nearby. With Seeling Park and Lees Creek Park close by, pet owners have great pet walking and exercise areas. Walkers and bikers alike enjoy the casual trails located within these recreational areas.
Residents have good access to transportation on the borders of the community. There are multiple bus stops placed along St. Cloud and Donaldson Avenue. This location is eco-friendly.
After just a short drive to the San Antonio downtown area, residents can learn about and admire the Spanish Governor’s Palace or visit the the historic Alamo. The Southwest School of Art is also situated nearby.
