Castle Hills Forest Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The Castle Hills Forest subdivision is located in north central San Antonio at the intersection of NW Military Highway and George Road. Though area has a reputation as a very upscale part of San Antonio, much of the subdivision is occupied by working class families.
Castle Hills Forest is located in close proximity to the newly opened section of Salado Creek Greenway, a dedicated 4.5-mile asphalt and cement trail that runs from Blanco Road to Huebner Road. It is one of the most scenic of the area’s trails and serves as good practice for mountain bikers who can continue their ride on nearby off-road trails.
South of Castle Hills Forest, the Phil Hardberger Park, a 311-acre former dairy farm, is the largest San Antonio city park to be opened since the 1800s. Named after a former San Antonio neighbor, the park’s restored landscape includes centuries-old trees and will soon be the home of an urban ecology center. The park currently boasts an outdoor classroom and amphitheater.
The Castle Hills Forest subdivision offers residents both a park and a pool. The exclusive Castle Hills Forest Swim Club is open to only members of the Homeowners Association. Tennis courts are also located nearby. Female residents of the community are invited to join the Castle Hills Frost Women’s Club, which meets monthly in member’s homes. Guests are welcome to their monthly luncheons. There are plenty of holiday activities for kids in Castle Hills Forest, including an Easter egg hunt, National Night Out kids’ activities, a Halloween bash and Christmas in the Park.
