Winnetka Heights Neighborhood

Five miles southwest of downtown Dallas, Texas you’ll find the largest historical district in Dallas — Winnetka Heights. This beautiful collection of Craftsman bungalows and Four-Square Prairie homes is accented with historical street lamps, tree-lined streets, and several neighborhood parks. Winnetka Heights lies along Jefferson Boulevard between Davis Street and 12th Street, just west of Bishop Arts District.

Winnetka Heights contains about 600 homes in the Oak Cliff area, developed around 1908. The neighborhood association is an active group that hosts several events, such as neighborhood get-togethers, an annual garage sale, benefits, Christmas Candlelight Home Tours, and more. The Oak Cliff Art Crawl is a fundraising event that will benefit the corner of Seventh and Tyler Streets, which will be developed into a pedestrian-friendly shopping district with outdoor cafes and markets.
