The Meadows of Brushy Creek is a small residential area located in north Austin, almost within the Round Rock city limits. Bordered by other neighborhoods to the east and largely undeveloped land to the west, this area is close to the urban center of Round Rock, but has a cozy, community feel.

Large houses lined up along winding streets make up the construction in the area. The residences are single-family modern construction, mostly shingle-style in red brick and white stone. In addition to easily accessible major thoroughfares, the Meadows of Brushy Creek has several bike trails to other parts of the area to accommodate people who use cycling as their mode of transportation.

The Meadows of Brushy Creek is a self-contained neighborhood in the 78717 zip code bordered by the Woods of Brushy Creek to the south and a large plot of undeveloped land to the west. The northern boundary is made up of Avery Ranch Boulevard which eventually turns into O’Connor Drive. Connecting to that and making up the neighborhood’s eastern border is Great Oaks Drive.

Though technically part of Austin, the Meadows of Brushy Creek lie in the Round Rock Independent School District with several branch schools surrounding it. Great Oaks Elementary School and Cedar Valley Middle School are both located within the Meadows’ boundaries. Situated beside each other, these schools have track and field facilities available for use after school hours, providing some recreational space due to the lack of parks in the immediate area.

Because it is surrounded by other neighborhoods that are completely residential in construction, this area is ideal for families wishing to get away from busy, commercial areas of town. Due to its proximity to major thoroughfares, shops and amenities are easily accessible.
