Talbots Corner Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Talbot’s Corner is a somewhat large neighborhood that lies in zip code 37207. The boundaries of the area are Briley Parkway to the north, Ellington Parkway to the East, Whites Creek Pike to the west and Interstate 65, Interstate 24 and Spring Street (Highway 31W) which intersect one another to the south.
The neighborhood consists of single family homes, apartments, duplexes, and shopping areas, all of which are tightly packed into this large area. The main roads or highways that mark the boundaries provide faster access to other parts of the city.
There are several parks in the neighborhood, including McFerrin Park, which also happens to be the site of one of Nashville’s community gardens. These community gardens give neighborhood residents who don’t have yard space in which to have gardens of their own, a chance to have a vegetable garden where they can grow their own produce.
Talbot’s Corner is also convenient to Shelby Park and Shelby Bottoms, one of the oldest parks in the city of Nashville, and one of the city’s greenways. The Shelby Bottoms Greenway and nature Park is 810 acres. Three miles of the park and greenway lie along the banks of the Cumberland River, while there are twelve miles of trails for jogging and walking.
Shelby Park is also home to another community garden as well as the Shelby Dog Park. These parks are open from dawn until 8 PM and allow residents of the area to bring their dogs to a place where they can run and play with other dogs in an unleashed setting.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is just across the river. It has been the home to America’s country music since 1967. The museum houses video clips, recordings, and sponsors exhibits as well as live performances and other public programs.
