The boundaries of the neighborhood are 8th Avenue South on the east, 17th Avenue South on the west, Interstate 65 on the north, and Wedgewood Avenue on the south. Edgehill sits adjacent to Belmont University and George Peabody College, and is only a few blocks from Vanderbilt University.

Edgehill has a neighborhood feel. The streets are wide and lined with trees and sidewalks. Some amazing older houses inhabit the neighborhood. The controversial “Musica” sculpture is located at the intersection of 17th Avenue, Division Street, Demonbreun Street, and Music Square East. The piece is the work of artist Alan LaQuire, who also created the Athena statue in Parthenon. The sculpture highlights nine larger-than-life nude dancers that are rising from the base. It is most impressive at night when it is lit.

There are two parks in the Edgehill neighborhood, Rose Park and Reservoir Park. The Terrence Murray Edgehill Community Memorial Garden on 13th Avenue is one of the gems of the neighborhood. Since 1993, the garden has been helping neighborhood children connect with both nature and fresh vegetables.
