For hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians, nearby Turkey Mountain provide dirt trails in a heavily wooded area.

Kensington is within walking distance of Oral Roberts University. The 500-acre suburban campus was founded in 1963 by Granville “Oral” Roberts, the television evangelist. This private university attracts students from across the United States and worldwide. The 200-foot glass and steel Prayer Tower has a visitor’s center and an observation deck offering stunning views of the campus. Tours are available.

J. L. Johnson Stadium at the university is home for the champion Golden Eagles. The natural grass baseball field has a 2,418-seat stadium and an architectural style patterned after the feathers of a golden eagle. The stadium was built by Oral Roberts when the university competed in the 1978 NCAA College World Series.
