Hoover Apartments for Rent

Located southeast of Downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hoover is a diverse neighborhood situated north of Interstate 44 and Platt College. Hoover consists of a mixture of apartment complexes, townhomes, and single-family homes. Apartments are prevalent especially around the college area. This neighborhood also has a high concentration of schools, both public and private, and various businesses.

Hoover is bound by South Yale Avenue to the west and South Sheridan Road to the east. One area from 21st to 31st streets is bounded by the Hoover Neighborhood Association. To the south of the Hoover neighborhood are Platt College and Tulsa Community College. Other schools in the vicinity of Hoover include Bishop Kelley High School and Undercroft Montessori School, both of which are located on the west side of the colleges. Phillips Elementary, Hoover Elementary, Whitney Junior High, and Whitney Middle are also within or close to the Hoover neighborhood.

There are a variety of shopping, dining, and recreational venues available nearby for residents of Hoover. Highland Park and Whiteside Park are popular recreational spots for area residents. Highland Park is over three acres and offers a playground, tennis courts, and picnic areas. Whiteside is over 19 acres and provides a junior pool, playground, various athletic fields and courts, and a recreational center.

There are many choices available to meet the shopping and dining needs of Hoover residents. To the southwest is Tulsa Promenade Shopping Center and southeast are the Commerce Shopping Center and Allstate Shopping Center. To the north are Hilltop Shopping Center and Bowman Acres Shopping Center.

Less than 2 miles to the northwest of Hoover is the Tulsa State Fairgrounds. Typically held during late September to early October, the Tulsa State Fair is a popular event for Tulsa and surrounding cities. Approximately 1.5 miles farther northwest of the fairgrounds is the University of Tulsa.

The Tulsa International Airport is located about five miles north of Hoover. Downtown Tulsa is situated about 4.5 miles to the northwest. Local attractions located in Downtown include Brady Theater, Cain’s Ballroom and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
