More than 26,000 military and civilian employees work at Tinker Air Force Base, making it the largest single-site employer in the state. Many Southeast Oklahoma City residents live in Del City or nearby Midwest City and commute each day to Tinker Air Force Base.

Lake Stanley Draper, which spans 2,900 acres near Interstate 240, features four covered fishing piers, boat ramps, marina, picnic facilities and opportunities for Jet Skiing, water skiing, boating and sailing. Golfers can tee up at the public-access Trosper Park Course, a 6,631-yard layout, located within a 10-minute drive from the neighborhood.

Most Southeast Oklahoma City residents gravitate to the Crossroads Mall at the intersection of I-35 and I-240 for shopping on the weekends. Crossroads has more than 60 shops and restaurants, two hotels, a 16-screen movie theater and an indoor, full-size carousel. Stores at Crossroads include Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret and Champs Sports.
