Westland is a lovely community in Columbus. This neighborhood is not to be confused with the Westland Mall, which is located about 10 minutes north, along Interstate 270.

This neighborhood is located in ZIP code 43228 in Franklin County. It is bordered by West Broad Street and U.S. 40 on the north, Big Run Road on the southwest, Galloway on the west, and the Interstate 270 outer belt to the east. It is quietly set apart from the hustle and bustle of downtown Columbus, yet it is still close enough to take advantage of all of the perks that city living offers.

Several local parks are also in the area. One of the most popular is Big Run Park. The locals like to come to this very large park for a run or stroll through the woods, a picnic with friends, or a day at the playground with the kids. Pets are even allowed in the park.

Interstate 270 and several other major freeways are just down the road from the Westland community, and Columbus Southwest Airport is only minutes away. Some of the affluent residents of Westland belong to the nearby Oakhurst Country Club. Oakhurst has an 18-hole, private course. Its scenic greens and fairways make it a popular spot for weddings in the Columbus area.
